Hope everyone is doing well and have had a great weekend!
The weather has turned dull and wet now- how typical. The forecast shows heavy rain this morning, with highs of 8º and lows of 3º throughout the day, and tomorrow cloudy with highs of 6º and lows of 1º.
A new character is being introduced onto Sesame Street. She is called Julia. She's 4, with bright red hair, and she has autism. The character is part of the show's initiative to raise awareness and understanding of the condition. Although she already existed in print and digital books as part of the initiative, Julia is yet to be introduced in an aired show. The first appearance of Julia will be on April 10th in America.
Tributes have been pouring in after the 'father of rock and roll' Chuck Berry died aged 90. He was found unresponsive at his home in Missouri on Saturday, when paramedics tried to administer 'lifesaving techniques' but were unsuccessful. Tributes have been made by stars such as Mick Jagger, Bruce Springsteen, Bill Clinton, The Jacksons, and Rod Stewart.
To celebrate Vera Lynn's 100th birthday today, the White Cliffs of Dover- as made famous in the 1942 song- will feature a projection of her potrait, as well as releasing a new album, called Vera Lynn 100. The record will make her the first singer to have released a new album as a centenerian. Dame Vera has said "I feel so blessed to have reached this milestone and I can't think of a more meaningful way to mark the occasion."
